In a statement published on the game's website, it has been confirmed that an update will be released "very soon" and the developer is currently "verifying" it. PC gamers were outraged, noting that the main reason they play games on the platform is because they have higher frame rates, and the backlash against Hangar 13 and 2K on social media was severe.įollowing the uproar, it has now been announced that Mafia 3 will soon get 60 FPS support on PC, as well as support for an unlocked frame rate. Just hours before Mafia 3 was released on PC, it was announced that the game would be locked at 30 frames per second on PC in order to have a "consistent" performance across all platforms. Surprisingly, though, these things have been at the back of people's minds as the game has managed to frustrate fans with its technical specs rather than its actual content. Mafia 3, Hangar 13 and 2K's new mob action game, has plenty of ways for it to cause controversy. The game's plot is focused o n a mixed-race protagonist at a time of severe racism, for one, and the game's bloody and violent combat is sure to offend some as well.

After Mafia 3's locked PC frame rate led to huge backlash from the PC gaming community, the game's developer confirms that a patch addressing this will be released "very soon."
